Codes of Practice
BFL sit on the
Precast Flooring Federation
Safety Committee and have played an active role in drafting the 2007
Code of Practice for the Safe Erection of Precast Concrete Flooring
and Associated Components. We believe that our involvement in this
process and the committee generally enables us to contribute to a
valuable industry forum which sits perfectly in line with our
company ethos of continual review and improvement.
During our ongoing commitment to the Precast
Flooring Federation Safety Committee, we had the privilege to be
invited onto the Precast Flooring Federation NPFT Scheme drafting
committee (National Precast Flooring Training Scheme). Initiated by
the Precast Flooring Federation, the committee has spent two years
creating a national training standard for precast flooring industry,
to run alongside the NVQ Level 2 qualification in Precast Concrete
Installation. We are very grateful to have received the opportunity
to establish industry standard training to ensure the flooring
industry continues to improve standards of safety and workmanship.
