Shutter Star
WHAT IS IT?
The Shutter Star is a quick, simple and strong alternative to
traditional shuttering methods.
Product Demo
Below is the product demo for the Shutter Star, which demonstrates how the product
can be used in a step-by-step guide. Use the '<<' and
'>>' buttons to step through the demo.
About The Product
When a gap is formed between the beams, just cut
the timber to length and drill one hole in the middle at 500mm
intervals. Slide a cable tie through the hole and through the
Shutter Star. Then attach another cable tie onto it in order to
lock. Repeat the process until all the board is complete.
Slide the board between the beams so it hangs
just under the joint - the Shutter Star will sit in between the
beams on the bottom of the soffits. Once in position, pull the cable
tight to tighten the board - simply, if you can pull a cable tie
then you can fit this system.
It's a lot easier than trying to twist wire
tight or prop timber underneath the beams, as all the work is done
from on top of the slab and, as a result, is not hindered by fall
protection. The joint can be filled flat and neat with no hindrance
from bars and no after work required, apart from removing the
shutter board itself.
There is less material wastage, no rust leakage
and less chance of the board dropping, which gives a neater job in a
lot less time.
