Our works include installing 400m of edge shuttering, 2.5 tonne of reinforcement bar over 5300sq. meters of Coltman precast planks – and the insitu concrete pour around the hollowcore flooring joints. We’re also installing all of the associated tie requirements to the supporting steel frame supplied by William Haley Engineering – who also have 2 sets of 3.02m² ALIMATS® on hire for this scheme, through our sister company Brilliant Ideas.
Willmott Dixon’s £61m construction of the new school facilities will be completed in the summer of 2024 ready for the start of the new school term in September.
When customers involve us at early tender stage, it’s very likely we’ll have a set of tie details to eliminate temporary shuttering, soffit shuttering, and site welding. This saves time and money on site and provides a much better aesthetic finish. In all, we have 106 plank tie details in our proposed sections library.
