We work with a lot of main contractors to deliver disproportionate collapse projects, including this one with Morgan Sindall.

We’re delivering the in-situ concrete works package to the precast concrete hollowcore flooring on a development at North Birmingham Academy. The £11m extension and refurbishment will provide extra teaching space for a further 300 students and is due to be completed in July 2024. Morgan Sindall are delivering the project on behalf of Birmingham City Council and Acivico Group.

Our works include installing edge shuttering, reinforcement bar over 3225sq. meters of Oranmore precast planks – and the insitu concrete pour around the hollowcore flooring joints. We’re also installing all of the associated tie requirements to the supporting steel frame supplied by Gorge Fabrications.

For Morgan Sindall we’re delivering our Tier 3 insitu concrete works package, which you can download here: In-Situ Concrete Works Packages

Main Contractors like Morgan Sindall understand that when they involve us during the early stages of tendering, we’ll have a set of tie details that will eliminate temporary shuttering, soffit shuttering, and all hot works (site welding).

Here’s an insight into how we eliminate temporary works and hot works, which results in savings on cost, programme and reduced risk to Health & Safety: Eliminating Temporary Works and Hot Works with Beresford’s Flooring
