We’ve recently enjoyed working on another project with Kier Construction.

They asked us to complete the disproportionate collapse works at Wilsthorpe School in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, for the new sports and sixth form centre they are developing on behalf of the Department for Education.

We supplied and installed the shuttering works and loose steel reinforcement bar, completing the tie interface between the precast concrete hollowcore flooring units and the steel frame. Our works also included the supply and placement of the in-situ concrete pours around the precast concrete hollowcore flooring joints. The overall suspended floor area of the precast concrete hollowcore flooring units was around 850sq. meters supplied by Coltman Precast Concrete.

Involve us during the early stages of tendering to eliminate temporary shuttering, soffit shuttering, and all hot works. This will save on cost, programme and reduced risk to Health & Safety – and deliver a more visually aesthetic finish, which is especially important when the inherent thermal mass properties of concrete are utilised by way of an exposed concrete soffit.
