We’re delighted to be supporting our client and main contractor Henry Brothers with their British Army project – a brand new scheme at Beacon Barracks in Staffordshire.

Henry Brothers are delivering the project on behalf of their client the Ministry of Defence.

Our works include installing 500m of metal deck edge trim, 1300kg of reinforcement bar over 2500sq. meters of FP McCann hollowcore flooring – and the insitu concrete pour around the hollowcore flooring joints. We’re also installing all of the associated tie requirements to the supporting steel frame supplied by M J Robinson Structures.

This multi-million pound two-storey development within a secure compound, includes offices, conference rooms, a reception area, workshops, garaging, storage rooms, welfare facilities and mechanical and electrical plant rooms, and will feature solar panels on the roof.

When we started this project, it was one of the coldest weeks of the year – and as you’ll see from some of our photos, the site team were working in sub-zero temperatures. So many thanks to the Beresford’s team… another installation to be proud of!

Interested in a CPD session?

If you’d like to find out more about our work, we deliver a CPD session on good practice when specifying hollowcore flooring onto steel framed buildings. Our presentation covers more efficient and practical ways of detailing and reducing risks and costs on site – and how our standard connection details eliminate hot works and soffit shuttering.

If you’d like us to deliver a complimentary session for your team, either face-to-face or on Teams, please get in touch with Adrian Norris, our Commercial Director on 01335 345111.
