It’s a pleasure to be working with Clegg Construction on the new 420-pupil Drakelow Primary School. Our scope is supplying and installing the disproportionate collapse works.
Following the installation of hollowcore flooring units by Lynx Precast Ltd, Beresford’s stepped in to stitch the floors together with certified in-situ concrete, shuttering, and loose reinforcement – while also completing the tie requirements to the supporting steel frame.
Design details often evolve during tendering, but at Beresford’s we work hard to eliminate two of the biggest site risks early on – hot works (welding) and temporary works (soffit shuttering). By collaborating with main contractors and project design teams from the outset, we apply proven alternative details developed over years of experience, removing hazardous and time-consuming operations before they reach site. The result is a safer, simpler, and more cost-effective build.
