We’re delighted to share some exciting news – Ewan Craig has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Beresford’s Ltd.
Ewan takes over from Chris Massey, who has successfully led our company through a period of strong growth and development. We’d like to thank Chris for his outstanding leadership and the positive direction he has helped set for our business.
Ewan joins us from Rhino Precast, bringing with him a wealth of experience across the construction and precast concrete sectors. But his appointment also marks a homecoming – Ewan first began his construction career with Beresford’s more than 25 years ago.
Reflecting on his return, Ewan said:
“I’m delighted to be appointed Managing Director of Beresford’s – the company where I first began my construction career. Ralph Beresford gave me my start, and I quickly learned the values of hard work, quality, and a ‘can do’ attitude that has always defined the business.
“After 15 years on site with Beresford’s and later management roles across the precast sector, I’m proud to return and follow in the footsteps of Ralph, John, and Phil Beresford and Chris Massey, who all moved from the tools into leadership. That practical foundation has always been central to Beresford’s success.
“From block and beam to specialist precast and progressive collapse systems, Beresford’s has consistently moved with the industry. The company has achieved much since I first joined, but I believe the best is yet to come. I’m excited to lead the next chapter of growth and grateful to Chris for this opportunity.”
As Ewan steps into the role, Chris Massey reflected on what makes Beresford’s unique:
“One of the main reasons for our success over the years is everyone’s willingness to adapt to new types of work while maintaining pride in what they do.
“My job has been made so much easier by having such adaptable individuals who relish new challenges. With the combined skills, knowledge, and experience of our management and site teams, the future is looking very positive.
“Our priority now is to take on more directly employed staff to meet current and future workload demands. With Ewan now at the helm, I’m confident the business will continue to progress.”
For over 50 years, we’ve grown into the UK’s largest specialist supplier and installer of insitu concrete works packages for main contractors, steel frame suppliers, and precast concrete manufacturers.
Alongside our insitu concrete operations, we also deliver specialist precast installation, drilling of concrete soffits using our innovative pole drill system, and remedial works.
As we begin this next chapter under Ewan’s leadership, we remain as committed as ever to the values that have shaped who we are – quality, reliability, and a true ‘can do’ spirit.
